Traders on Jalan Raya Matraman Socialized with Orderly Sidewalk Month

Matraman Sub-district Vice Head, Muhammad Husnul Fauzi led the socialization about the Orderly Sidewalk Month (BTT) to traders along Jalan Raya Mataraman, Tuesday (3/5). It involved 60 joint personnel.

According to him, it is one of a series of celebrations for the Satpol PP's 74th Anniversary which have been regularly held since 2017.

"Our personnel urge them (traders) not to sell on the sidewalk in order to create public order and provide comfort for pedestrians," he expressed.

According to him, his party did not confiscate goods or take other forms of action.

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Budhy Novian added today's socialization was actually to provide comfort and optimize city infrastructure in the area.

He explained the same action was held in stages on Jalan Raya Matraman today, Jalan Raya Pemuda Rawamangun on Wednesday (3/6), and Jalan Raya Otista, Jatinegara on Thursday (3/7).

"There are 60 joint personnel from Satpol PP, TNI, police, Transportation Sub-agency, Social Sub-agency, and the community," he explained.  

He hoped that traders could comply with Bylaw Number 8/2007 on public order. Because, in this sidewalk, there are rights for pedestrians and crosswalkers.
